We will picks up at 09:00am at the hotel, we will start with our tour that runs through local indigenous communities of Otavalo, we will visit an indigenous family in San Rafael village to observe the artisanal work with the natural fiber of the plant called “totora” (schoenplectus californicus), and after we will visit craft workshops that are dedicated to making crafts by sheep wool and alpaca wool. We will visit a workshop of Andean musical instruments, to complement our tour we will enjoy a short walk inside the forest pretected Peguche waterfall. After we will go to visit hats made by native indigenous from Iluman village.
Our lunch will be in the city of Cotacachi, famous for making leather articles. Afterwards we will have a free time to walk through the city or enjoy exquisite coffee (optional). We will continue visiting the San Antonio town where we can to see crafts about wood carved designs.
