Get to know and live the indigenous lifestyle in Otavalo, by visiting handicraft workshops, dedicated to work with the plants from the San Pablo lake called Totora like a (reed grass) and after that we will continue to another indigenous family where we will visit a workshop dedicated to weaving with ancient techniques such as the “Callua”, spinning, dyes, and the extraction of fabric from the wool of animals. Such as sheep, llamas, and alpacas. Also, visit a workshop dedicated to creating musical Andean instruments specially wind instrument. Indigenous Communities and Cuicocha
Visiting the Peguche waterfalls forms part of our tour, with its majestic 20 meter (66 feet) fall of water, which enchants everybody who visits the place. Also considered sacred for andean people specially at the summer solstice.
After lunch, we’ll have some free time to visit the city of Cotacachi, famous for its confection of leather goods. At last, we head to the ecological reserve Cotacachi-Cayapas, and we will visit the volcanic lake, Cuicocha.
